Terms of Use
The terms that govern your use of mortgageprotection-catalyst.com and our quote forms, operated by Catalyst Mortgage Protection. Effective and last updated: October 6, 2026.
Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of mortgageprotection-catalyst.com and any quote request you submit through it. The site is operated by Catalyst Mortgage Protection, doing business as Catalyst Mortgage Protection ("Catalyst," "we," "us"). By using the site or submitting a form, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms include an arbitration agreement and class action waiver in the Arbitration section that affect your legal rights, and you may opt out of it within 30 days.
About Catalyst and our licenses
Catalyst Mortgage Protection is an independent insurance agency. Coverage is placed by licensed life insurance agents licensed in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. We do not solicit or transact insurance in states where we are not licensed. Insurance products are underwritten and issued by unaffiliated insurance companies. Catalyst is not affiliated with any mortgage lender or government agency. Nothing on this site binds coverage; coverage begins only when an insurer issues a policy and its conditions are met.
Quotes and rate information
Rates, ranges and examples on this site, including published third-party figures in our articles, are general estimates for illustration only. They are not quotes, offers or guarantees of coverage or price. Actual premiums, eligibility and policy terms are determined by the issuing insurer after underwriting and are governed by the policy contract.
Informational content
Articles, guides, calculators and tools on this site are general information about insurance. They are not legal, tax, financial, investment or medical advice. Laws, rates and products change, and we review our content periodically, but we do not guarantee it is complete, current or accurate for your situation. Consult the policy documents and a qualified professional for your circumstances.
Information you submit
You agree that information you submit is accurate, belongs to you or is submitted with permission of the person it describes, and may be used as described in our Privacy Policy. Inaccurate information on an insurance application can affect coverage or claims. Do not submit someone else's phone number or information without their permission.
Consent to calls and texts
When you submit a quote form and agree to its consent disclosure, you give Catalyst Mortgage Protection your prior express written consent, by electronic signature, to call and text you at the number you provided about your insurance quote and related insurance products and services, including with automated technology and artificial or prerecorded voice messages, even if your number is on a federal or state Do Not Call list. Your consent covers Catalyst only; we never sell or share your information with other agencies. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can request a quote instead by calling (771) 249-3377.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You may also revoke consent by any reasonable means, including telling us on a call or emailing us, and we will honor it within the time the law requires. You confirm you are the subscriber or customary user of the number you provide and will tell us if the number changes.
Electronic signatures and records
Under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act as adopted in your state, you agree that clicking a submit button on our forms is your electronic signature and that we may provide disclosures, notices and records to you electronically, including by email or on this site. You can request a paper copy of any disclosure, or withdraw consent to electronic records, at no charge by emailing or calling us. Withdrawing consent to electronic records does not cancel consent to calls and texts unless you also ask us to stop contacting you. To access electronic records you need a device with an internet connection, a current web browser and an email account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false or misleading information, impersonate anyone, submit forms using automated means, interfere with or disrupt the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or copy content at scale, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Catalyst name and logo, site design and original content belong to Catalyst Mortgage Protection or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Carrier names and marks belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
Third-party sites and services
The site links to and uses third-party services, such as insurers, regulators, scheduling tools and maps. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catalyst and Catalyst Mortgage Protection will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the site, and our total liability for any claim arising from use of the site is limited to $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them and do not limit any rights you have under an insurance policy, under state insurance laws, or against an insurer.
Arbitration agreement and class action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes are resolved.
Informal resolution first
Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, you and we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally for 30 days. Call (771) 249-3377 with a description of the dispute and your contact information, and ask to submit a "Dispute Notice." Any statute of limitations is tolled while this informal process is under way.
Agreement to arbitrate
If the dispute is not resolved informally, any dispute arising from or relating to this site, these terms, our communications with you (including calls and texts) or our services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, available at adr.org. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator decides all issues except whether the class action waiver and Mass Arbitration provisions are enforceable, which a court decides. For consumer claims, we will pay all AAA filing, administrative and arbitrator fees, except that if you start the arbitration you pay the portion of the initial filing fee the AAA Consumer Rules assign to consumers. The arbitration will take place in the county where you live or by video or phone, and the arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could.
Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration if it qualifies. Nothing here prevents you from filing a complaint with, or seeking relief available through, a government agency, including the Utah Insurance Department or your state insurance department, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission or a state attorney general.
Class action and jury waiver
You and we agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over a representative proceeding, except as described under Mass Arbitration. You and we waive the right to a jury trial.
Mass Arbitration
If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, the demands will be administered in batches of up to 25 under the AAA's mass arbitration procedures, with one arbitrator per batch, and the parties will cooperate in good faith to resolve them efficiently. Statutes of limitations are tolled for demands waiting to be batched.
Your right to opt out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these terms by calling (771) 249-3377 with the request "Arbitration Opt-Out," including your name, phone number and a statement that you opt out of this arbitration agreement. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
If this section is unenforceable
If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will proceed in court, not arbitration, under the Governing law section, and the rest of this section still applies to other claims.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for the arbitration section. Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in small claims court where you live. Nothing in this section limits protections that the insurance laws of your state provide.
General terms
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about use of the site. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may update these terms; the effective date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply going forward, except that changes to the arbitration section will not apply to a dispute already noticed.
